What a crazy couple weeks it’s been! We can hardly believe the Halloween recital was already 2 weekends ago, and we’re just now getting to write about it. Meanwhile, all our students have switched holidays: goodbye to Halloween, hello to new Christmas books! Many students have already learned a Christmas song, and we’re already looking forward to those fun Christmas mini-recitals in December – and of course, the parties with Christmas goodies that go along with them!
But, before diving full-force into Christmas music, we wanted to thank our students who participated in our fun, spooky Halloween Recital at Robert Sides Music Store on Saturday, October 18th! You all played VERY well, and it was so fun to see everyone in their costumes! We are so glad that so many of our students had great fun with spooky music, and that they could show it to their family and friends!
Chopin’s “Funeral March” was made complete with the Grim Reaper’s scythe setting the mood!
Halloween treats make the musical rewards of playing piano even sweeter…..
………And the fun always continues after the official recital is over! Creative techniques are often utilized, as demonstrated below!
Great job, everyone!
